Seventeen Miracle Matte Pressed Powder - Reviewed!

I've had this powder lying around for a while waiting to be used for a while and I finally dug it out last month as I had finished some other powders. When the weather got warmer my skin got oily and the powder I was using wasn't cutting it so I went on to this and thought I should do a review.

The packaging is nice and simple, I like the black with pink and white writing which matches the rest of the Miracle Matte range. The compact comes with a mirror in the lid which is a decent size and a powder puff which I personally haven't used but is nice to have in an emergency.

The powder comes in 3 different shades. All of which are suited for pale or medium skin tones. It would be nice if they included a translucent which would work for more people. Saying that the shade Natural Fair doesn't have lots of colour to it when applied onto the skin which I like. The powder is also very finely milled and doesn't leave a cakey finish when applied which is rare for a mattifying powder.

Once applied you can see it on the skin in that it leaves things looking matte but not powdery. These goes away after about 30 minutes wear and looks very natural. One of the best things about this powder that it really helps to keep my base in place and keep oil under control. If you have oily skin I would definitely recommend giving this a go as it is very affordable and really does help to keep oil under control, especially in the t-zone.

Have you tried this powder? What is your favourite powder to keep oil under control?

  1. My skin hasn't adjusted well to the warmer weather. This sounds like something I need to invest in! M xx
