Top 10 Makeup Finds of 2014

It is drawing close to the end of the year which means it's time to look back on what have been the best makeup discoveries of 2014. A lot of great things came out this year so it was hard to think back on what i've loved, however i've managed to find 10 products which have been favourites for most of the year.
Top 10 Makeup Finds of 2014
Top 10 Makeup Finds of 2014
BASE:
Rimmel Lasting Finish Nude Foundation
Rimmel Stay Matte Primer £5.99 - I discovered this early on in the year and i've nearly used it up which shows how much I love it. This is a great primer to control oil and keep this shine free whilst giving a great base for foundation. I also find it improves the wear time of my base when I use this.
Rimmel Lasting Finish Nude Foundation £7.99 - This is another Rimmel product i've loved. For a while I didn't like Rimmel base products but this feels light on the skin whilst giving a medium coverage. This blends really nice with a damp sponge or brush and wears really nicely on the skin.
Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer £7.99 - This has been around for a while but I only got round to trying this in 2014. I love that this is a twist up so you know how much product you've used. It feels really light with good coverage. It doesn't look or feel cakey underneath the eyes whilst being brightening.
CHEEKS:
The Body Shop Honey Bronze Bronzer
Maybelline Dream Terra Sun in Golden Tropics £6.49 - I think I wore this pretty much everyday in Summer and i'm still reaching for it. The bronzer isn't too dark and gives a lovely warmth to the skin and the blush is the perfect peachy pink which gives a nice glow and colour to the cheeks.
The Body Shop Honey Bronze Bronzer £13.00 - This is the perfect, affordable matte bronzer for pale skins. I have the shade 02 Fair Matte which is still not too dark. It isn't too warm toned so i've found i've still been reaching for it in the colder months to add some warmth to the skin.
EYES:
Soap & Glory Archery 2 in 1 Brow Filling Pencil & Brush
Makeup Revolution 32 Shade Ultra Eyeshadow Palette in Flawless £8.00 - I discovered Makeup Revolution this year and i've loved everything i've tried but this palette has definitely been the standout. This is the perfect, affordable, neutral palette. It has a great mix of browns, purples, blues and pink toned shadows which are creamy, easy to blend and pigmented.
Soap & Glory Archery 2 in 1 Brow Filling Pencil & Brush £8.00 - This became my new favourite brow product this year. The shade blondeshell is a the perfect shade if you have light hair as it's not too warm toned. The point of the pencil is very fine and a little waxy so applies easily whilst looking natural. The brush on the other end is also really useful for neatening things up.
LIPS:
Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipstick
Revlon Colorstay Matte Balms £7.99 - I've loved matte lips this year and these have definitely been my favourite. They're creamy which means they apply nicely whilst not feeling drying on the lips and giving a matte finish. I have four shades all of which are well pigmented and long wearing. I tend to always have one of these in my handbag since I love them so much.
Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipstick £8.99 - These have been my favourite long wearing lip products of the year. Even with eating and drinking these seem to last all day on my lips. They're creamy yet dry matte on the lips. The shade Ole Flamingo! is the perfect bright pink and Peach Club is a great peach shade. These are bright yet are still very wearable.
Maybelline Color Drama Intense Velvet Lip Pencil £4.99 - Another matte lip favourite which has been a theme this year. This was definitely one of the releases I got most excited about this year. These pencils look great applied all over the lip or work as lip liners for other lipsticks. The shade range is really good, I have Minimalist which is a nude pink, Light It Up which is a classic red and Berry Much which is a purple toned berry shade. All of these are matte, feel nice on the lips and last fairly well.

I think 2014 has been a pretty good year for makeup discoveries, I definitely will be continuing to use all of these next year and I can't wait to see what new releases will be coming out in 2015. What have been your favourite makeup finds of 2014?

The Christmas Manicure

Having my nails look festive and colourful for Christmas has become one of my favourite beauty things to do over the holiday season. Today I thought I would share the manicure I opted for on Christmas day. In fact it is the same combination I wore last year which I loved so much I decided to repeat again this time around.
Essie Leading Lady
Essie Leading Lady
Essie Leading Lady
It is safe to say at this point i'm a big fan of Essie polishes. They wear really well on my nails and they have one of the best colour selections. For this look I applied 2 coats of Bahama Mama which is a gorgeous plum shade and looks great on it's own. It has a slight pinky red tone to it as well which is why I love pairing it with Leading Lady which is also a plum shade with fine pink glitter through it. Unlike most glitter polishes this isn't chunky and is fairly subtle so you can see the glitter straight away. The glitter does however catch the light and look so pretty. I put some Seche Vite top coat over to make the nails look even more glossy.
Essie Leading Lady
I really do love this combination together as it feels like a grown up way to get away with some glitter. By using a base colour it also makes it a lot easier to remove rather than painting the glitter straight onto the nails. Just looking at my nails really helped to get me into the festive spirit.

Essie Nail Polishes retail for £7.99.

What manicure did you go for over the Christmas period?

The Edit | The Christmas Face

As we all recover from the food coma that happened on Christmas Day I thought I would share what makeup I ended up wearing. I wanted to go for something simple that was long wearing so I wouldn't have to think about touching up.
The Edit | The Christmas Face
Bourjois Radiance Reveal Healthy Mix
BASE:
I started off by using one of my favourite primers which is the Rimmel Stay Matte Primer, whenever I want something to be long wearing I use this. For foundation I used another favourite in the Bourjois Radiance Reveal Healthy Mix , I love how this just helps my skin to look glowy whilst packing a good amount of coverage. Where needed I applied a few dabs of the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer to cover any redness the foundation missed. To set everything in place I used the Bourjois Healthy Balance Powder to keep the shine at bay.
The Body Shop Honey Bronzer
CHEEKS AND BROWS;
For cheeks I added a little colour with The Body Shop Honey Bronze Bronzer to warm the face up a little. For blush I went with my favourite blush which is NARS Deep Throat as it adds the perfect pinky sheen to the cheeks. For brows i'm still loving the Soap & Glory Brow Archery Pencil as it's so quick to use and looks natural.
Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette
EYES:
For eyes I started with a base of MAC Groundwork paint pot which is a lovely brown shade that has a sheen to it. Next I reached for my Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette and used the golden shade on the bottom row over the top to create a gold smokey eye. Then I added a few coats of the Soap & Glory Thick & Fast Mascara to finish it all off.
Revlon Cherries In The Snow Lipstick
LIPS:
Finally for lips I started with applying the Urban Decay Lip Liner in Mrs Mia Wallace as a base so that my lipsticks would last longer. The I did a few coats of the Revlon Cherries In The Snow lipstick which is the perfect cherry red shade. I found this combination wore fairly well even whilst eating and drinking.

So that was the makeup I went for on Christmas Day. It may seem like a lot but after wearing this combination of products a few times I managed to get ready pretty fast. Do you wear makeup on Christmas Day? If so what products did you reach for?

The Christmas TAG

Since it is Christmas Eve I though I would make today's post a little bit festive by showing you some of our Christmas decorations and doing the Christmas tag. I also include some pictures of the cookies I made the other day. I actually made these last year however this time I added extra vanilla and they taste even better.
The Christmas TAG
The Christmas TAG
Making the cookies turned into a bit of a production line but they look pretty good to say icing isn't my specialty. Anyways onto the questions!

 1. Do you like to stay in your PJ’s, or dress up for Christmas?
I do a bit of both, I tend to be in my pj's in the morning whilst we open the presents then i'll get dressed for lunch but probably end up in my pj's again around 6 to recover from my food coma.
2. If you could only buy one person a present this year, who would it be?
I would probably say my Mum as she does so much for me, plus she did bring me into this world after all. She always says she doesn't want anything but I always like to treat her.
3. Do you open your presents Christmas Eve or Christmas morning?
Always Christmas morning, I didn't even know opening presents on Christmas eve was a thing until a few years ago.
4. Have you ever built a Gingerbread house?
I haven't! Each year I mean to but forget or run out of time. I love gingerbread and I did make some last week but definitely need to make a gingerbread house in the future.
5. What do you like to do on your Christmas break?
I try to get all my work and jobs out of the way so I can relax and enjoy time with the family not doing much. I love watching Christmas movies, baking with some sale shopping in there for good measure.
6. What’s your favorite Christmas meal or treat?
Out of the Christmas meal I would say Yorkshire puddings and roast potatoes are probably my favourites. As a sweet treat anything chocolate or a good crumble.
7. What’s your favorite holiday movie?
I haven't actually seem that many holiday movies but Home Alone 1&2 have been favourites since I was little and I still watch them during the holiday season. I also love The Holiday and Die Hard which is kind of a Christmas movie since it's set on Christmas eve.
8. Candy Canes or Gingerbread Men?
I like both but I would have to say gingerbread men but I do like candy canes in hot chocolate.
9. Have you ever made a snowman?
Yes! I haven't made one in a few years but I do have a great memory of one year when it snowed heavily so my brother, my Dad and myself went and built a huge snowman in the field opposite our old house.
10. Which do you like better, Christmas Eve or Christmas Day?
I like both a lot, Christmas Eve evening is always nice since everyone is relaxed and we just watch TV or a film and drink hot chocolate. Christmas day is my favourite I guess as I love opening presents, watching other people open presents and eating lots of tasty food.
11. White lights, or colored lights?
Definitely white lights, I think they look a lot prettier and simple on the tree. We never put lights outside and i'm definitely not a fan of those bright blue lights so white all the way.

So that's my answers to some festive questions and some pictures of our tree and cookies. I hope everyone has a great Christmas and enjoys some relaxing time with family and friends. What is your favourite thing about Christmas?

December Empties!

For some reason I don't seem to have as many beauty empties this month. It's probably because i've been running around trying to get ready for Christmas. I did end up finishing some products that didn't seem like they would ever run out though.
December Empties!
LUSH Granny Takes A Dip
Sainsbury's Ladies Sensitive Shave Gel - I've mentioned this a few time as it's my favourite and super cheap so I always go back to it. For that reason i've already repurchased.
& Other Stories Lemon Daydream Body Wash - I picked this up on my last trip to London and it lasted me so well. The smell had a lovely, subtle citrus scent which I loved. Next time I go to London i will definitely be going something else in this scent as it's one of my favourites.
LUSH Granny Takes A Dip - My friend got me this as part of my birthday present and I got about 4 baths from it. The smell was lovely and it made my bath pink, blue and purple. I wouldn't mind getting this again but I tend to get LUSH products as a treat as they're a little pricey to use all the time.
Soap & Glory The Righteous Butter
Soap & Glory The Righteous Butter - I seem to always have a load of these hanging around. I really like the product itself as it's very moisturising but I do find I get a bit tired of the scent after a while. I won't be repurchasing as I have another 2-3 tubs to use up!
Cutex Nourishing Nail Polish Remover
Oral B Brilliance White Toothpaste - I normally don't include toothpaste in my empties but I thought I would mention this one as it's been my favourite for a good few months now as it really does make your teeth look and feel clean.
Cutex Nourishing Nail Polish Remover - I'm normally not that picky when it comes to nail polish remover but I did actually find this one very good and didn't have a overpowering scent like some can. I definitely will pick this up again.
Avene Soothing Eye Contour Cream
La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo [+] - This seemed to last me so long and I was sad to see it empty. I found this was great to use on areas where I was breaking out but didn't want anything drying. I did think it helped blemishes to heal quicker and help with redness and scaring. I definitely will be picking this up again.
Avene Soothing Eye Contour Cream - I've had this eye cream a few times now and it always amazes me how long it lasts. It's a great basic eye cream that keeps the skin soft and look fresh. I probably get this again at some point.
Super Facialist By Una Brennan Rose Hydrate Calming Creamy Cleanser - This is a classic hot cloth cleanser with a rose scent to it. I found it was effective at cleansing the skin and removing makeup. Nothing amazing but it was nice to use. I don't think I will get this again as there are other things I like more.

So those are this months beauty empties, I think i've managed to have a good rotation with the products i've been using this year so hopefully this will continue next year. Have you used up any of your favourite products this month?

Top 10 Albums of 2014

I feel like I say this every year but 2014 was a really good year for music. A lot of artist I love came out with new release which i've listened to a lot and there's a few debut albums that have blown me away for good measure.
10. First Aid Kit - Stay Gold
I love the debut from these Swedish sister a couple of years ago and I was excited to see what they would do next. Stay Gold still has that folky feel from the first album which I love. The lyrics are great as is the music, I think it's a great second album and I can't wait to see them keep progressing.
Best Tracks - My Silver Linning, Shattered & Hollow.
9. Josh Record - Pillars
I first found out about Josh Record through FunForLouis' vlogs and love his voice and sound. His debut came out this year and features songs from his past EP and some new ones for good measure. If you like Ben Howard or songs about love you will love this album. Josh has a great, unique voice and he's lyrics are really good.
Best Tracks - Bed of Thorns, Wide Awake, Finally.
8. Royal Blood - Royal Blood
It's been a while it feels since a great British rock album came out so this release from Royal Blood was definitely needed. They're a two piece who create amazing, catching classic rock songs. I'm going to see them next year when they open for Foo Fighters and i've heard they're definitely one to see live.
Best Tracks - Come On Over, Figure It Out, Little Monster.
7. Ed Sheeran - x
It's definitely taken me a while to come round to Ed Sheeran but this album has sold it for me. Ever song is catchy and has amazing, personal lyrics. I'm glad he waited a few years to put out his second album as it feels very polished and well put together, the amount of copies it's sold proves that i'm not the only one who has been loving it.
Best Tracks - Don't, Thinking Out Loud, Shirtsleeves.
6. The Black Keys - Turn Blue
The last few albums from The Black Keys have been very successful so there seems to be some pressure every time they release something new. Personally, I think they've done very well with this album. It has that same feels as their previous albums, yet feels new. The lyrics are the best thing about this album as they feel the most personal. I don't think it's their best album but it is still one of my favourite releases of the year.
Best Tracks - Weight Of Love, Fever, Bullet In The Brain.
5. Broken Bells - After The Disco
I still feel not enough people are listening to Broken Bells are they are one of my favourite, new project in recent years. I played the first album so much and was happy to see that this second album is even better. It has a real 80's feel which I love, the lyrics are great as is the music.
Best Tracks - Perfect World, Holding On For Life, Control.
4. Jack White - Lazaretto
If Jack White is involved with a project i'm probably going to like it. I thought he's first solo album was a great difference from his previous projects where as this one feels like a great mix of everything he's done yet still feels new. The songs are very catchy and uplifting with a few slower songs for good measure.
Best Tracks - Temporary Ground, Would You Fight For My Love? Lazaretto.
3. Ben Howard - I Forget Where We Were
Ben Howard's debut album was one of my favourite album of the past 5 years and I was patiently waiting to see what he did next. I was definitely happy to hear that he went and did something new. This album feels very unique and personal. I was blown away after the first listen and still am whenever I hear it. I can't wait to see him live next year to see how the songs are live.
Best Track - I Forget Where We Were, Time Is Dancing, Conrad.
X
2. Warpaint - Warpaint
I love everything about Warpaint as they're an all girl band and they're so skilled and just great to see live. I knew before this came out I was probably going to like it and it was even better than I expected. The thing I love about this is that it just flows so well, you put it on and it almost seems like one long song. Definitely worth checking out if you like chilled out music.
Best Tracks - Love Is To Die, Feeling Alright, Drive.
X
1. Foo Fighters - Sonic Highways
I think this album has become my favourite of the year because of the TV show and story that came with it. Each song was recorded in different cities across America and they lyrics are made up from stories told by the people there. It sounds like a classic Foo Fighters record but with a more interesting back story. After watching the show you can hear where they got certain sounds and lyrics from.
Best Tracks - Something From Nothing, Outside, I Am A River.

So those have been my favourite albums of the year. Some extra mentions would be Brody Dalle and Paolo Nutini which I also loved but wanted to keep the list at 10. What have been your favourite albums this year?

NOTD | Barry M Blood Orange and Moonlight

I've notice that even though I don't wear red that often I love to have red nails. If I remember correctly one of the first nail polishes was a red one. Many years have since past and i've developed a decent collection, however whilst browsing Boots the other day I may have picked up another one.
NOTD | Barry M Blood Orange and Moonlight
NOTD | Barry M Blood Orange and Moonlight
I've mentioned before that I really am a big fan of the Gelly Hi Shine formula as you can often get away with one coat and the colour is opaque and glossy making them the perfect options if you're trying to do a manicure in a rush.
NOTD | Barry M Blood Orange and Moonlight
NOTD | Barry M Blood Orange and Moonlight
Blood Orange is a great vibrant red which as the name suggests has a slight orange tone to it. Even without a top coat this shade looks so polishes and glossy on the nails. Whilst I was picking up this shade Boots had an offer if you spent £6 on Barry M you got one of two limited edition glitter polishes free. I went for the shade Moonlight which is a chunky silver glitter that has stars and even little red stockings in it. I did two thin coats on my ring finger and it's opaque but you can still see the colour underneath which I like.

The wear time has been as good as always with only a few minor chips after 4 days wear. Red is definitely one of my favourite shades to wear when it's coming up to Christmas. What are your favourite shades to wear?

The Bedside Trio

Ever since I got a decent bedside table i've found i've started to hoard products that I might need before I go to sleep. Even though I have all these products on hand there are three that I tend to reach for more than others and whenever I go traveling they are some of the first products I pack.
The Bedside Trio
The Bedside Trio
This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray
This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray - £16.00.
I'm lucky that I don't often struggle to get to sleep but sometimes it just seems very hard to drift off. I spray a few spritz of this on my pillow and it really helps you to concentrate on your breathing and relax you. It's also great if you have a bit of a cold starting as it helps you to breath easier.
Nuxe Reve De Miel Lip Balm
Nuxe Reve De Miel Lip Balm - £9.50.
I seem to suffer from dry lips all year round however it is always worse in the colder month. I reach for this lip balm all year round before bed as it almost feels like a mask for your lips. In the morning my lips feel hydrated and soft without any dry patches. The price may seem a little high for a lip balm but this pot can last me 6 months to a year, even when i'm using it everyday.
The Body Shop Almond Hand & Nail Butter
The Body Shop Almond Hand & Nail Butter - £12.00.
I never used to use hand cream and I hated that greasy feeling and not being able to touch anything. As i've gotten old my hands have got a lot drier so I tend to have a rotation of hand creams on my bedside table. When my hands I feeling extra try and like they need an instant hit of moisture I reach for this. It feels very rich however sinks in quickly and doesn't feel greasy yet my hands feel so much softer straight away.

So those are the products I reach for a lot on an evening and have become firm favourites of mine for nearly a year now. What are some of the products you use before going to sleep?

Week In Pictures #10

I haven't done a week round up in a while so I thought I would as I have a few things to share. This week i've been trying to finish up my Christmas shopping as I hate leaving it till the last minute. We also put up the Christmas tree which has helped me to get into the festive spirit a lot more.
We had to buy a new tree and lights this year and it has made a huge improvement on the thin tree we had before. I also got Rufus an advent calendar, I didn't even know you could get ones for dogs. I've been back on the healthy eating kick and i've been enjoying trying to come up with tasty, filling dishes. I still enjoy baking the most and tried out a new healthy cookie recipe which is seriously amazing. I might put up the recipe next time I make them as they turned out so well.
x
I've become a bit obsessed with fairy lights and candles. I'm still using the Yankee Candle Wax Melts which I hauled last month. I made a festive garland for the window with some beads and fairy lights we already had that looks so nice at night. As with any Week In Pictures post here's a few pictures of Rufus, as always he's sleeping surrounded by cushion.
Podcasts
I love podcast for when i'm walking around, blogging or doing housework and like most people i've become a bit obsessed with Serial. Serial is a podcast which tells the story of a murder week by week. Each episode you learn more about the case and what mistakes were made. If you like crime dramas you will love this, be prepared to want to listen to all the episode in one go though.
Books
Since I finished my degree i've enjoyed reading a lot more. I'm currently reading Amy Poehler's book Yes Please. I love Amy and this book is making me love her even more; which I didn't think was possible. It's funny, yet she drops in great advice along the way.

So those are some of the things that i've been up to this week. It's been so cold this week that most of the time i've just wanted to hide under a blanket with some tea and watch Netflix. Luckily that's only happened some of the time. Have you done anything festive this week?

Glitter Polishes Perfect For The Festive Season

I'm not a fan of wearing glitter on my eyes or clothes really however when it comes to nails i'm all about the glitter. Whenever Christmas gets near I always dig out my glitter polishes so I thought I would share four of my favourites.
Glitter Polishes Perfect For The Festive Season
Glitter Polishes Perfect For The Festive Season
Barry M Nail Paint in Moonlight
Barry M are one of my favourite nail polish brands and they get it so right when it comes to glitter. This one was a great freebie with Boots when you spend £6 on Barry M. This is a sliver and red glitter; very season appropriate, which is made up of different shapes of glitter from circles to stars and even ones that look like little stockings. This one is definitely a contender for my Christmas day polish.
Essie A Cut Above
I'm a big rose gold fan and when I spotted this last year I had to have it. I was very happy on a recent trip to Boots to see that they've brought it back this year. It's made up of small and chunky glitter and is the perfect rose gold shade. I love this over purple shade especially but also over nudes or reds.
OPI Rainbow Connection (dupe)
This is still one of the most amazing glitters i've found. Sadly it was limited edition and is pretty hard to get your hands on, however I have found and affordable dupe which is very similar. As the name would suggest this glitter has ever colour of the rainbow in it and is packed full o chunky glitter. Whenever I wear this I always find myself staring at my nails.
Barry M Nail Paint in Amethyst Glitter
Another great Barry M polish. This glitter is mainly blue with sliver and pink in there as well. It's a fine glitter which means it is opaque is 1-2 coats; this looks great over blue or purple polishes. I find some glitter to apply a little patchy but this one is the opposite and looks amazing on the nails.
Glitter Polishes Perfect For The Festive Season
Glitter Polishes Perfect For The Festive Season
Due to glitters being a bit of a pain to remove my favourite way to wear glitters is by applying them just on the ring finger. I find this is a little more subtle but makes a plain manicure a bit more interesting. However when Christmas day comes around I will be in full glitter mode.

What are some of your favourite glitter nail polishes? Do you reach for the glitters more during the festive season?

The Edit | The Winter Face

It definitely feels like Winter has set in now, because of this i've found i've been going for a more simple makekup look; mainly so I can spend more time in bed where it's nice and warm. One of my favourite things to do is where a bright lip which looks best with minimal eye makeup and natural skin.
The Edit | The Winter Face
Maybelline Fit Me Concealer
Starting with that natural base, i'm still loving the Rimmel Lasting Finish Nude foundation as it feels very light on the skin whilst nicely perfecting everything. It doesn't cover deep redness or all blemishes so I dab on some Maybelline Fit Me Concealer where needed which blends very easily due to it's creamy consistency. To set things in place with the Bourjois Healthy Balance Powder which is finely milled so helps to give a natural finish to the skin.
Soap & Glory Archery Brow Pencil
To add some colour, yet keep things simple i've been reaching for the Illamasqua Cream Blush in Dixie. This is a great rosy pink shade which just gives a nice glow to the skin. For brows i'm still loving the Soap & Glory Archery Brow Pencil which defines the brows nicely whilst looking natural. This has definitely become a big staple in my everyday routine.
Clinique High Impact Mascara
For eyes i've been liking something easy yet a little smokey. To achieve this i've been using the Maybelline Color Tattoo Leather Effect in Creamy Beige. This is matte, deep beige shade that looks great alone or as a base to a smokey eye. Most times I wear it alone with a few coats of the Clinique High Impact Mascara, i've been using this sample or a while and i'm so tempted to get the full size. It's one of the best all round mascara as it adds volume and length to the lashes.
MAC Craving Lipstick
Finally for lips, this is where I chose to add a bit of colour. The first option is the most bold; Revlon Cherries In The Snow. This is a lovely pinky, red shade; even though it's bold it's very wearable. If I want something a bit more neutral i've been reaching for MAC Craving lipstick, this is a warm pink with a hint of plum, yet it's a little bolder than most nudes. It's a great everyday option if you want something a little deeper but not too in your face.

Those are some of my go to products i've been using to quickly get ready yet still look some what put together. I can quickly put all of these on in around 10 minutes which means more time in bed or extra time for a much needed coffee in the morning. What are some the products you're reaching for this Winter?

Maybelline Color Tattoo Leather in Creamy Beige - Reviewed!

I love the original color tattoos by Maybelline, I think they're the best cream shadows available on the high street. You seem to be able to get a lot more shades in the US and finally some of the new finishes and colours are making their way over here. The leather effect version are more matte yet give a creamy touch so I couldn't wait to give one a go.
Maybelline Color Tattoo Leather in Creamy Beige
Maybelline Color Tattoo Leather in Creamy Beige
The packaging is the same as the original color tattoos which made it a tad confusing when I was trying to find them in Superdrug. I do enjoy the packaging as it is very user friendly.
Maybelline Color Tattoo Leather in Creamy Beige
Maybelline Color Tattoo Leather in Creamy Beige
The product claims to last 24 hours on the lids and being creamy to apply without creasing throughout the day. I will say the shade is very pigmented and just as easy to apply as the original formula. The wear time however doesn't seem to be as good, this could be down to the shade itself. I find it doesn't look as vibrant after about 10 hours of wear, although there is hardly any creasing.
Maybelline Color Tattoo Leather in Creamy Beige
Creamy Biege is a great neutral shade and would make the perfect base to a simple eye look or smokey eye. Although it doesn't last 24 hours on me; personally I don't leave my makeup on that long anyways, it's very quick and easy to use and does look almost as good as when I applied it at the end of the day. I do prefer that this is matte as I can layer other matte shade over top to make them appear more vibrant.

All in all this has be added into my rotation of makeup pretty nicely and for the price I think it's a great eye product. I just hope that we will start to be seeing more of the US shades making their way to the UK.

What are your favourite affordable cream eyeshadows?
