Today's post is going to be about how to make a Manuka Honey Face Mask, it's so easy and quick to do. For those who don't know Manuka Honey is really good for the skin and great for clearing up blemishes and it's natural so beats putting lots of chemicals on your face.
All you need is Manuka Hoeny and some Ground Cinnamon. The Manuka Honey needs to have a UMF 10+ otherwise it won't really do anything to the skin.
In a plastic container I got 3 tablespoons of Manuka Honey to 1 tablespoon of Cinnamon. This amount will make about 4 face masks and it lasts about a week if you keep it in the fridge. I also added a small amount of water to thin the mixture. You must not heat the honey because it will get rid of all the good properties that help the skin.Once mixed together you should get a paste like in the picture shown above. If it's still too thick then add some more water. You can also make less if you are only wanting one use.
To apply it I used an old foundation brush. This one is from ELF and cost £1.50 and does the job perfect. I would apply this with my fingers because it can be sticky. It is surprisingly easy to remove, just use some warm water. I leave the mask on for 10-30 minutes.
I've been doing this for a few weeks now and my skin and definitely been improved. It is also very easy to use if you make a batch up.
You can buy Manuka Honey at most health food stores. At Holland and Barretts you can buy 250g for £10.49.
