Maybelline The Colossal Go Extreme Volume Mascara - Reviewed!

I picked this up a while ago but only got round to opening it recently. I'm a big fan of Maybelline mascara and I was excited to see if this one is just as good as the rave reviews I have read.

The packaging definitely stands out. I have i'm not the biggest fan of the bright yellow and pink but the fact that it is so bright makes it easy to spot in your makeup bag. The product comes in three different shades of black; leather black, very black and very black waterproof. I went for very black but my guess is each shade probably looks very similar on the lashes.

The brush is fairly big but it's also tapered which makes it easier to get those smaller lashes. The brush is meant to give lots of volume without clumping. I would have to agree that you can keep applying the product to make the lashes look more dramatic however it never looks overly clumpy or stick the lashes together.

When I first starting using the mascara it did feel a little wet although after about a weeks use it definitely got easier to apply. I sometimes think this is a good thing as it means the mascara will often last longer and not dry up. As well as adding lots of volume it also defines the lashes nicely and holds a curl fairly well. I haven't found it transfer or smudges but is also very easy to remove at the end of the day.

If you're looking for a mascara that gives lots of volume and a dramatic lash look I would definitely recommend giving this a go. For the price I think this mascara is great value for money.

Maybelline The Colossal Go Extreme Volume Mascara retails for £6.99.

Have you tried this mascara? What is your favourite Maybelline mascara?
