Lush Catastrophe Cosmetics Fresh Face Mask - Reviewed!

Some of you may know that i've been on a big skincare kick recently and in that I have become a bit obsessed with face masks. Since Lush is one of my favourite brands I thought I would try another one of their fresh face mask, i've already tried and reviewed Cupcake here. I will say when I got this my face was going through some serious hormonal breakouts so perfect time to give it a go testing!
As with all Lush products the packaging is lovely and simple. The fresh face masks are to be stored in the fridge and because they're fresh they only last 3-4 weeks which means you have use it around 2-3 times a week. This is the only thing that annoys me because I like to change up which masks I use depending on how my skin is.
The mask itself is meant to calm and clear the skin and one of the main ingredients is blueberries which are an anti-oxident and are great for the skin. The mask is creamy but dries quickly in around 5 minutes after this is can start to crack and get a little messy so I would say this is a great mask to use in the bath.

As will most mask you leave in on my around 15 minutes and then wash it off. It removes easily and leaves the skin feeling clear and soft.
I really enjoy applying more mask on my worst areas, such as t-zone and chin. The mask really did help clear my skin and generally get on the rubbish out of my pores. I liked that it felt very gentle too so didn't irritate any sensistive areas or blemishes.

I definitely would recommend this masks if you want to give your skin a treat or are suffering from some troublesome blemishes because i think it really does help and I found that my skin cleared up quicker with using it.

Lush Catastrophe Cosmetics retails for £5.95 and is available in Lush stores.

Have you tried this? What is your favourite Lush face mask?

  3. I recently tried this for the first time as well and love it! Agree with you about the length of time it lasts for but I guess the plus side of that is knowing it's made from fresh ingredients!

  6. thank you for sharing your blog link on twitter! :) this is a lovely mask other than like you said the cracky mess it makes after a while haha! Also I did have to scrub it off a bit harder than the cupcake one to get it completely off but that wasn't too much of a big deal! great post, lovely blog too! :)
