Bourjous Healthy Mix Foundation - Reviewed!

For some reason I have never done a review of this foundation, I have reviewed the Healthy Mix Serum but this is the original and still my favourite out of the two. This is actually my second bottle so definitely time to do a review!
The packaging is a simple plastic bottle with a black lid. One of my favourite things about the packaging is that it has a suction pump which as you can see in the picture, means you can see how much product you have left! It also means you don't waste any, I definitely think more foundations should come like this.
I love foundations that come with pumps becuase you don't get too much product coming out. The foundation itself is scented and smells fruity. This doesn't personally bother me but I know it will for some people. It is a thin consistency, I find I need around 2-3 pumps to cover my face. The coverage is medium but definitely buildable, you can also apply a very thin layer for a light finish. This foundation feels lovely on the skin, very light and no matter how much you apply it never feels cakey or looks too much.
The shade I have is 51 which is the lightest shade, this is great for me in Winter but a little bit light in Summer. When this one has run out I will be getting shade 52. All the shades seem to be yellow toned which is perfect for me because it really helps even out the redness in my skin as well as covering my acne scars whilst still looking very natural. There are only 8 shades to chose from which isn't amazing but definitely not the worst range of shades I have seen in the drugstore.

The wear time of the foundation is great too, even on my oily skin I can get around 8 hours before it feels oily. No matter how long I have it on it never seems to go patchy even on my chin which is where most foundations fail on me.

All in all this is my all time favourite foundation, I love it so much and definitely would recommend it to anyone especially someone with oily skin. If you have normal/dry skin the Healthy Mix Serum would be great for you.

Bourjous Healthy Mix retails for £9.99 and is available here.

Have you tried this foundation?

  1. I haven't tried it as I cannot stand scented products! It does sound really good though.

    1. I don't see why brands put scents in foundations!? If you can get past the scent it really is a great product :)

  2. Its my favourite too I've got a good few high end foundations but always reach for this before them. Started using it about 3yrs ago when I was pregnant so my skin has gone through quite a few changes but this has never let me down x

  3. I've never tried a Bourjois foundation. This one looks great. My skin is slightly oily sometimes so I get a bit weary of foundations I buy. I think I'll have to try this one out next :) xx
