In Flight Essentials

I will be flying to Los Angeles on Saturday and I thought it would be useful to show you the products I will have in my hand luggage to make sure my skin is in good condition for when we land. For those who may not know I have oily skin but with the air conditioning on planes my skin still gets dried out. Also when flying all liquids need to be under 100ml and in a clear plastic bag.
Firstly I will start with the few non-beauty items I have included which are Murray Mints because my ears always pop on planes so these will be needed, plus they taste so good! I'm also taking some gum because its a 12 hour flight and I want my breath to be some what fresh. I'm also taking a book, some spare clothes, phone, ipod but decided not to inlucde those in this post.
I've decided to take the Kleenex Shine Absorbing Sheets because they will come in handy when were in America but also good to use on the plane. I have hair ties, bobby pins and a hair band to keep my hair out of my face especially when i'm using moisturisers etc. I have a small nail file as well as my Real Techniques Buffing Brush and another small ELF Complexion Brush to apply powder. The powder i'm taking is my favourite 17 Pressed Powder.
I'm not wearing a lot of make-up to the airport but I will use the baby wipes to remove any as well as clean my face then apply to Caudalie Beauty Elixir, I love this so much because it is so refreshing and I find it also calms my skin too. Then I plan on using the Origins Drink Up Intensive Mask which I have a sample of, i'm using this because it is really moistursing. I've also included the REN Night Repair Serum which again is very hydrating to the skin. I'm taking the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream because I can use this on any dry skin I have, face and body I also plan on using it as a hand cream. I love that it isn't at all greasy either. The eye cream I have is the Balance Me Wonder Eye Cream and i'm taking a Dermalogica Lip Treatment because it is tiny and a great lip balm. I'm also taking a hand sanatizer because I hate my hands feeling dirty.

When were near to landing i've included a few make-up items, again I really don't like wearing a lot of make-up when travelling. I've depotted some of my new favourite BB Cream which is the Erborian BB Cream Light which also has SPF 25 in it. I've also got my trusty Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection concealer if I need it and finally some mascara which is a sample of the Clinique High Impact mascara which I actually really like.

So that's my in flgith essential, I hope this was helpful if you are going travelling soon or if you just wanted to find some great products because I really do love all of these.

What products do you take when flying?

  1. Super jealous of you going to LA, hope you have a fab time! I never take much on a flight in terms of skincare and makeup, I would probably make more of an effort on a long haul flight though xx

    1. Thank you, I think I will :) I don't normally for short flights but on a 12 hour flight I know my skin will dry out!

  4. Have an amazing time. I'm so jealous! I haven't taken a long haul flight for about six years so, and back then I wasn't worried about my skin! But this definitely useful. I fly A LOT (probably 8-10 times a year) but they're all short flights so no need to worry about my skin there. x

    1. I haven't since I went to New York in 2008 and I wasn't too bothered about skincare then! I probably wouldn't take much on a short haul flight, maybe just the Caudalie beauty elixir to freshen my face :)
