The packaging is a thin tube with black detail. I like that you can kind of tell how much product you have used with the middle section being clear. The tube also means it takes up less space than a glass bottle plus is less likely to break when travelling. The foundation has no SPF so would be good for flash photography; during the day I would apply a separate SPF>
The product claims to have a medium texture, high coverage and a matte finish. I like that they've included this on the packaging along with some tips on how to apply it. It has a narrow applicator so you don't end up dispensing too much product. It isn't too runny or thick and blends surprisingly well into the skin. I've found the best way to apply it is with a damp sponge or a buffing brush so you can get an even coverage. The foundation does 'set' but i've found I still have enough time to blend the product before this happens. I was surprised to see that it doesn't cling to any dry patches or look patchy on the skin which is rare for a matte foundation.
The big downside is the shade range, there's currently only 6 shades to choose from which surprised me as L'oreal are normally one of the brands to give a wider shade range. I went for 11 Vanilla which matches fairly well although can be a touch too pink toned. You could get away without setting this with powder although I opted for putting on a light layer. Although the coverage is high you can definitely still make it look a little lighter. Even when wearing a full coverage of the product it still looks fairly natural. The best thing is definitely the wear time. Even after a long day in London where it was really hot I had hardly any excess oil on my t-zone or look patchy.
For me this is my go to foundation when i'm feeling very oily or i'm going to be out all day. I don't love a full coverage foundation everyday but it's nice to have this one in my collection now for when I need it. I would definitely recommend giving this a try if you have oily skin or want a high coverage, non cakey and long wearing foundation.
L'oreal Infallible 24HR-Matte Foundation retails for £7.99.
Have you tried this foundation? What is your favourite oil control base?
I've wanted to try this foundation for absolutely ages but I always a little wary of drugstore foundations as they can break me out!! This one sounds lovely and like it really would give me some much needed coverage :) xxxx

I would recommend giving it a try. I've had no skin irritations or breakouts from using it :)
