The Skincare Clear Out

After giving my dressing table a sort out I thought I would carry on and tackle my skincare stash. I have products in the bathroom, my dressing table and I have a drawer in my ALEX unit that was looking a bit of a mess. So much so I wasn't using a bunch of products. I've now sorted things out and I thought I would share some tips on clearing out your stash.
The Skincare Clear Out
THE BATHROOM CABINET:

I gave my bathroom cabinet a clear out a few months ago so I just gave things a wipe down and organise. I have cleansers on the left, then clay based masks and more treatment/ peel masks. On the top shelf I have a few samples I want to try and use up.

In the bathroom I also have a basket with more masks and scrubs in it. I don't use facial scrubs a lot so I think i'll use these on my body instead. I threw out a couple things i've had too long but mainly gave things sort out and reminded myself of what I have.
THE 'OVERFLOW' DRAWER:

This drawer was definitely the worst and the one i've been putting off. There was no order to it and it was hard to find anything. The only way to tackle this was to empty everything out the drawers and sort things into piles. I did creams, toners, treatments and samples. I was ruthless and threw out anything that I thought had gone off or knew I wouldn't end up using. I also had some travel bottles which I cleaned and stored else where.

I put everything back in the drawer, toners and cleansing waters at the back and creams in the front. Down the side I have some muslin clothes and spray toners. There is still so much space left in the drawer which I may put some samples in so that I use them more. Everything is a lot easier to see and found and i'm definitely more likely to use everything more.
DRESSING TABLE:

The dressing table I organised last week and separated my morning and evening skincare into different containers. Behind that I have some more serums and creams which I don't use everyday but like to have on hand.

This has definitely made me want to clear out the rest of my beauty stash. I think doing it in stages makes the process less daunting and easier to do. It is good to give things a clear out as you don't want to be using products that are out of date or have been opened too long; especially when it comes to skincare. How often do you have a beauty clear out?
