Top 3 French Skincare Brands

Ever since I started getting really into skincare I discovered how many great French skincare brands there are. Today i've had a look through my stash and picked out some of my favourite products from my three favourite brands. All of these products are firm favourites of mine and would work for a lot of skintypes.

LA ROCHE POSAY:
I think La Roche Posay are a great brand if you have oily or acne prone skin as they're products are effective without being harsh on the skin. A recent favourite of mine is the Serozinc which is a spray toner that helps with oil control and reducing any redness around blemishes. If my skin is particularly bad I love pairing that with the Effaclar Duo [+] which is a great all in one product which controls oil and reduces the size of blemishes as well. Best of all it helps with scarring and redness left behind from blemishes. A great hydrating mask which again can be used on blemish prone skin is the Hydraphase Intense Masque. This is great if you get dry patches from old blemishes or around the nose as it gets rid of the dryness without feeling greasy or heavy on the skin.

AVENE:
Avene is a brand that again is great for blemish prone skin but they specialise in sensitive skin and all of their products are gentle no matter which range their from. Their Gentle Cleanser is a great basic cleanser that leaves the skin feeling clean without being dry. Another favourite which i've purchased several times is the Eye Contour Cream which is a great eye cream if you want something that it hydrating, mouisturising without irritating the eyes. The Eau Thermale Thermal Spring Water is a great refresher in the Summer. The spray is fine so won't leave your face feeling too wet but refreshed instead. Their Cleanance range is great for oily, blemish prone skin but again isn't too harsh on the skin. Their Cleanance K Cream Gel is similar to Effaclar Duo as it is a light cream that is hydrating and helps with problematic skin. The Cleanance Mask is a cream mask that has scrubby bits in it which you leave on for 5 minutes and leaves the skin feeling clean and exfoliated. Avene also do a great range of facial SPF which are effective and light on the skin.

BIODERMA:
For a long time you could only find Bioderma in France but now you can find most products online. Their most know product is definitely the Sensibio H2O Solution Micellaire. This was the first micellar water and started the trend. Applied to a cotton pad it removes face and eye makeup without feeling dry on the skin. I love using this as the first step in my double cleanse in the evening. The Sebium Global Intensive Purifying Care is a great gel moisturiser which helps with breakouts, oil control and works as a great base for makeup. Their Hydrabio Masque Moisturising Mask is a great product for dehydrated skin that needs a moisture boost. It's light, hydrating and doesn't feels greasy on the skin. One of my favourite facial SPF is the Photoderm AKN Mat SPF 30 as it is designed for combination/oily skin. It protects against the sun whilst helping breakouts, oil control and feels so light on the skin. Best of all it works well underneath makeup.

So those are my favourite French skincare brands and some stand out products from each of them. I use a lot of these products in my routine everyday and a lot of them i've repurchased and will continue to do so. What are your favourite French skincare brands and products?
