I made sure I did a good cleanse every night which really helps to keep the skin clean and smooth. As an added extra afterwards I used the First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads. These are gentle exfoliating pads that help to get rid of any dead skin cells and add some brightness back into the skin. They're not harsh at all and helped to keep things smooth without irritating the skin. My lips were also feeling extra dry so i've been putting on more Nuxe Reve De Miel than normal. I use the every night but i've been applying it during the day as well. It's such a good balm that feels comfortable to wear and really does moisturises the lips well.
My skin was feeling a lot more dry than usual so I made sure to pack in the moisture. A serum I love is the Vichy Aqualia Thermal as it is light in consistency but helps to make the skin feel smooth and nourished; this is perfect for dehydrated skin. I felt like I needed something more hydrating than just a moisturiser so I reached for the Superdrug Vitamin E Moisture Mask. This is an affordable product that works really well. Again, it has that light consistency so doesn't feel heavy on the skin. You can feel it sinking in and afterwards the skin feels so much softer and hydrated.
My nose got extremely dry, flakey and painful at times. A new product that i've tried which worked amazingly is the La Roche Posay Cicaplast. I had heard good things about this it is definitely as good as people say. It's a plain balm that is thick but doesn't feel heavy or greasy. I applied a layer each night onto areas that were the most dry and the next day the skin looked softer and that tight feeling had gone. I think this is one of those products that is just good to have around as it is a great all purpose balm.
This little routine of products has really helped to make my skin feel softer, brighter and look a lot healthier. I'm still using most of these products to help keep my skin feeling moisturised. The weather definitely hasn't been helping my skin but these products are definitely keeping it in check. What are some of your favourite skincare products to use when you're not feeling well?
