La Roche Posay Cicaplast - Reviewed!

I mentioned this in a recent post on what i'd been using to help with my dry skin after having a cold. I thought it deserved it's own post as i've really been loving it. It isn't one of these sweet smelling, fun products but it is very effective.

The product is designed to be a soothing repairing balm to aid in the recovery of the skin. The product is gentle enough to use on adults, children and even babies that are suffering from chapped skin and intense dryness.

The packaging is very simple; white with blue and black detail. This matches the rest of La Roche Posay's products. This is definitely more of a basic product, this is most noticeable in the fact that it doesn't really have much of a smell. This is a bonus since it makes sure that it doesn't irritate the skin. It is a thick balm like consistency which takes a little while to blend into the skin. You only need a small amount of product and even though it is on the thicker side it doesn't feel heavy or greasy on the skin.

I've mainly been using this around my nose where I had some bad dryness and flakey skin. After one application I could already feel a difference in that the tightness of the skin had gone and the dryness had started to go. After using it for around 4-5 days my skin was back to normal and soft.

I had heard a lot of good things about this and didn't know if it could really work that well but i've been pleasantly surprised about how effective it is. I think it's one of those products that is really good to have around if you are prone to having dry skin. It comes in two sizes and I went for the smaller size which I still think is going to last me a decent amount of time.

La Roche Posay Cicaplast retails for £6.50 for 40ml and £13.50 for 100ml.

Have you tried this? What are some of your favourite products for dry skin?
