Brand Focus | Cocoa Brown

I tried the now well know Cocoa Brown 1 Hour tan last year and really enjoyed using it. Since then i've tried two other products from their tanning range so I thought I would do a brand focus with some reviews of the products i've tried. They've got a great range of tanning products and I definitely plan on trying more.
Brand Focus | Cocoa Brown
Cocoa Brown 1 Hour Tan Mousse
Cocoa Brown 1 Hour Tan Mousse - £7.99 - This was the first Cocoa Brown product I tried and it's the most known. I'm definitely not a fake tanning expert; I normally stick to gradual tanners, but I was happy to find that this is so easy to use. The colour isn't too dark (they also do a dark version now) so you can apply a decent amount and be left with a natural tan. It's not orange and doesn't have a strong smell to it either. Application is easy and it dries so you don't feel too sticky whilst wearing it. You can leave it on for an hour, or longer for a deeper colour. I tend to do 2-3 hours if I can. Then you wash it off and are left with a really nice tan colour. I would say it lasts just under a week before it starts to fade but I haven't found it to go patchy. To extend the wear you can top it up with the gradual tanner.
Cocoa Brown Gentle Brown Gradual Tan
Cocoa Brown Gentle Brown Gradual Tan - £6.99 - I picked this up after hearing good reviews and I really love it. The cream is tinted which helps you to give an even application. If I apply this at night the next day I look a lot more tanned but it still looks natural. My skin doesn't feel dry after using this and I don't find there to be a too strong of a fake tan smell. If you sometimes find gradual tanners not to leave enough colour I would definitely recommend giving this one a go.
Cocoa Brown Tough Stuff Scrub
Cocoa Brown Tough Stuff Scrub - £2.50 or £5.99 for 200ml - Finally I have the scrub. This comes in a sachet or tube we means you can try the product out without spending a lot of money. The scrub itself is a pink gel with fine particles in it. It exfoliates the skin very well without feeling scratchy. Used on any dry patches it leaves the skin smooth and ready for tanning; when I used this before tanning the product definitely gave a smoother application. You can also use it to remove any fake tan which is does very well.

I love all three of these products and would happily use just Cocoa Brown products when I want to fake tan from now on. I definitely will be giving more products from the range a try; I have my eye on the Oil Free Body Moisturiser next. Cocoa Brown products can be found in Superdrug or online at Feel Unique. I've even spotted the 1 Hour Tan in a few Primark stores.

Have you tried any Cocoa Brown products? If so, what are your favourites?

  1. I don't have too much experience with tanning products but I really like the flamboyant & bold packaging. :]
