Whenever I think about wearing a bright lip MAC Girl About Town is always one I dig out. I love the formula of this as it is well pigmented whilst still having a creamy texture. I wore this on my friends birthday night out recently and the colour stuck around after food a fair few cocktails which was really impressive. The colour is also the perfect blue toned fuchsia pink. I've mentioned a few times that I really love the NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams and a bright favourite is Antwerp. It's a really nice bright pink that stands out but is also comfortable to wear. I find the formula of these lasts well whilst still being a comfortable matte.
A lot of my favourites tend to be matte as I think a matte bright lip looks best on me. Another formula that is creamy and comfortable are the Revlon Matte Lip Balms. The shade Unapologetic is a very bright pink that is very fun to wear. If you find matte lips to be drying sometimes the formula of these are perfect as the creamy texture gives an easy application and feels very comfortable on the lips. I picked up a few of the Wet n Wild Megalast Lipsticks whilst I was in America as they were very affordable. The texture is slightly creamy but they really set on the lip giving the perfect long wearing, matte finish. The shade Red Velvet is a lovely mix between a pink and a red that I think is really wearable all year round.

In the Summer I love bright pink lips of various shades and when Autumn comes around I go for more plum shades. I find wearing bright lip colours really fun to do and if I find a formula that stays in places well throughout the day that is even better. Do you reach for brighter lip colours in the Summer, if so what are some of your favourites?
Since Boots launched NYX I can't stop myself from buying!! x
