Brand Focus | Seventeen

Seventeen were one of my favourite makeup brands as a teen and for a while I stopped using their products as I tried more high end brands. Seventeen did change their branding and started adding some really great products to the range so I thought I would share some of my favourites. It's mostly base products since those are my favourite parts of their range.

Seventeen Miracle Matte Pressed Powder - £3.99 - I never feel like spending a lot of money on a pressed powder. I've tried more expensive ones and i've found that this one works just as well. It's sets the makeup really well and although it is matte it doesn't look flat or cakey on the skin. It is really good for oily control and you can reapply without looking patchy.
Seventeen Stay Time 18 Hour Concealer - £4.49 - This is my favourite concealer. I use it all the time on redness and blemish as it is creamy, easy to blend and covers so well. It doesn't cling to any dryness on the skin and stays in place. I've been using this for so long and it's one I always go back to.
Seventeen Phwoarr Paint Concealer - £5.49 - This is a cream concealer which gives a high coverage that you can use under the eyes. This isn't my favourite formula of concealer however this one applies nicely and I don't find it creases under the eyes. The coverage is really good and it is longwearing. If you have dark circles this one is definitely worth checking out.

Seventeen Skin Wow Concealer - £4.99 - This is the newest release that i've tried and I think it's one of their best. It's a highlighting pen concealer which you can use the add a natural glow to the skin. The coverage is light but it brightens so nicely whilst being easy to blend and still look very natural on.

Seventeen Eye Eye Crayon in Molten Metal - £3.99 - This is a crayon eyeshadow that is nice, compact and is really quick to apply. You can apply the product, blend it out and it looks really nice. Best of all it stays put really well and the colour still looks vibrant. Molten Metal is a lovely bronzey shade that also works well as a base to a smokey eye. There's only four colours to choose from, one of which is a bright blue.

Seventeen Lip Crayon - £4.99 - I love the formula of a lip crayon as they are really easy to apply and feel very comfortable on the lips. These aren't heavily pigmented; especially the lighter shades but they still give a nice amount of colour to the lips. The darker shade I have definitely wears the best as it leaves a slight stain the lips. These aren't the best lip crayons i've tried but they do feel like a balm on so would be great for dry lips.

I've also tried the single eyeshadows and nail polishes in the past and have been impressed by both of them. If you haven't checked out a Seventeen stand in a while it's definitely worth having a look as some of their newer products are really impressive; especially the base products. The only product i didn't love was the Stay Time Primer as it was hard to apply and felt dry on the skin without making my base last that much longer.

What are some of your favourite Seventeen products?

  1. Stay Time is such a fab concealer for the price and the lightest shade is much better suited for pale skin than Collection's one. I haven't tried it for years now but Doll'd Up is a really great mascara, I seem to remember buying a couple of tubes xx

    1. It's been a favourite of mine for a long time and I always have it in my collection. I tried Doll'd Up a long time ago and might have to try it again.
