The packaging is simple but looks very nice. The Clearly Youthful range has some very clean, sleek packing which I really do like. The product comes with a pump which makes it easy to dispense whilst also being hygienic. It's a day serum, although I use it most in the evening; it's a product you could definitely use twice a day. It claims to plump and firm the skin whilst boosting the skins moisture. It also claims to help with shine control and oil giving a clearer complexion.
A lot of product designed for oil control can often be drying which doesn't help the skin in the long term. My skin is combination so a product like this that helps with the oily areas whilst hydrating the dry patches.
The serum is very light and gel like. It has a subtle scent to it which isn't offensive. I use one pumps amount of product which covers the face nicely. It sinks in nicely and never feels greasy or heavy on the skin. For this reason it would work really well under makeup and give a hydrated base. In the evening, when paired with some other hydrating product it makes the skin feel so smooth and moisturised. I've had no bad reaction to using this and it also contains salicylic acid which has helped with any breakouts i've had.
If you have combination skin that sometimes has breakouts but is also dehydrated I would definitely recommend giving this a try. It's a great product, that's effective whilst being affordable.
Superdrug Clearly Youthful Hydrating Day Serum retails for £4.89.
Have you tried this serum? What are some of your favourite affordable skincare products?
