The packaging is nice and simple; each shade being in a corresponding colour which looks really nice when you have a few different shades. The glosses come with a small sponge applicator. Not too much product comes out which really helps to give an easy application.
The first shade I have is Peaches and Cream. It's a lovely peachy pink. It's pigmented enough in that you can see the colour on the lips but it isn't too vibrant either. I'm normally not the biggest gloss fan but this doesn't look too glossy and fake on the lips; it's more of a nice sheen which looks nice alone or on top of a similar colour lipstick. The other shade is Creme Brulee which might just be the perfect nude gloss. It's a pinky brown which is very flattering on; a perfect everyday shade.
The formula is definitely creamy instead of sticky so they feel very comfortable on the lips. I don't like it when glosses doesn't have much pigment. These are the opposite and therefore look so nice on the lips. The wear time is a couple of hours; i'm yet to find a gloss that lasts a long time. They're easy to reapply though and almost feel moisturising on the lips.
NYX Butter Gloss retails for £5.00.
I've been really impressed with these and definitely will be thinking about picking up more shade. NYX is a brand I really want to try some more products from. What are some of your favourite NYX products?
I love butter glosses! did you try their butter lipsticks too>?
ReplyDeleteI didn't as I couldn't find a shade I liked! (the stand was pretty empty!) They're definitely on my wishlist though.
DeleteI really like the Butter Glosses. I've been wearing them non-stop recently for work as I love how light they feel. x
