Recipe | Healthy Vegan Chocolate Milkshake

Chocolate milkshake were definitely a childhood favourite of mine. I still do treat myself to a milkshake now and then but they're definitely not the healthiest beverage. I've been playing around with a few recipe ideas and I think I might have got the perfect, vegan, healthy and delicious chocolate milkshake.

Ingredients:

  • 200ml of Almond Milk (or milk of your choice)
  • 2 tbsp of Cacao Powder
  • 1-2 tsp of Coconut Sugar (or sweetener of your choice; sweeten to taste)
  • 1 medium sized banana
  • Small handful of ice

Add all the ingredients into a blender. Blend for 30 seconds to a minute until you have a smooth consistency. Once blended simply pour into a glass, add a straw and enjoy! Top with some chocolate sauce if you want it extra chocolatey.

It's really that simple! If you want an extra boost you could add some coffee to it or some chia seeds for some added health benefits. If you don't like banana, you could always sub that for a few tablespoons of greek yoghurt which will give a similar creamy consistency. This milkshake is really tasty and easy to make. It's the perfect treat on a hot day when you want something sweet.
