Garnier Miracle Cream - Reviewed!

Summer means I prefer a light base with a good SPF. Some days it so hot that I don't want to wear a full face of makeup but still want something to even my skin out and cover any redness. I had heard a lot of good things about this offering from Garnier and when I hunted it down in Wilko's for only £5 I thought it was the perfect time to give it a go.

The packaging is very nice; a simple white tube with pink writing which gives for an easy application and is more hygienic than a pot. The packaging would also travel well as the lid doesn't easily come off when in a bag.

The product is targeted as an anti ageing cream with an SPF 20 and claims to protect the skin from the first signs of ageing. I would still say an age group could still use this product. The product itself is a white cream that when you start to blend it into the skin develops a tint. If you've never used a product like this before it can seem a little scary but always start with a small amount a build up to your desired look.

Once blended into the skin the cream gives a lovely healthy glow to the skin. It evens out the skin and any redness. I would compare the coverage to a tinted moisturiser or BB cream. The cream itself feels moisturising and light on the skin, perfect for hot day where you don't want to wear makeup but want something to even things out. I've also worn this as a base, dabbing concealer on any blemishes and setting with powder. It wears really well and doesn't go patchy or look like you have a lot of makeup on. I have fairly pale skin and don't find this to be too dark; I think it is best suited to light to medium skintones.

This is definitely a new favourite of mine for when I just want to quickly even the skin out and make everything look a bit brighter and glowy. It's definitely become a go to Summer product of mine as you can use it in lots of different ways. Even as a base under foundation so you don't have to apply as much.

Garnier Miracle Cream retails for £12.99.

Have you tried this? What product do you use when you just want a little bit of coverage?
