The Beauty Stash Spring Clean

So Spring is finally starting to come around and it's the time of year which is when you have a good clean and tidy around the house. An area which I sometimes forget about when doing this is my beauty stash. This time I thought I would change this and share some tips for how to give your stash a Spring clean.

SEE WHAT YOU HAVE: I already have most of my makeup sectioned off but sometimes these can get a bit messy. The first thing you want to do when trying to tidy this you need to see what you have. From a quick glance you should see products you like, ones you want to use, thing you want to try or products you've either forgotten about.

MAKE PILES: The next step is to organise everything into these categories. I try to get rid you anything i've had too long or haven't used for a long time. I think this is harder to do if you're a blogger as you might want to keep everything in case you need it for a post but sometimes you've got to be hard on yourself.

ORGANISE: My dressing table draw can get very messy. Half is for skincare that I use a lot and the other half is makeup products i'm currently using. Here you again want to see what you want to keep or get rid of. Some products I might not be using all the time so i'll put those into my big ALEX unit to make more space in the drawer.

GIVE EVERYTHING A CLEAN: Foundations and primers can get dirty easily so you want to take some time to give everything a clean. I use just a baby wipe to do this and it works really well. This is also an opportunity when you've taken all you products out to sort through to clean the containers you keep them. For this some antibacterial spray does to job. After this you can start putting things back, even by taking out a couple of products I felt like I had so much more space and things looked a lot more organised.

Sorting through your makeup stash and giving everything a good clean feels really satisfying and it's a great way to see what you have and rediscover some old favourites. Will you be giving your beauty stash a Spring clean?
