The Handbag Lip Product Staples

I think like most people the bottom of my handbag can be covered with a layer of lip products that i'd forgotten were in there. Today I thought I would share five which have been in rotation recently.
The Handbag Lip Product Staples
Clinique Chubby Stick Intense in Mightiest Maraschino
THE CRAYONS:
Clinique Chubby Stick Intense in Mightiest Maraschino - £17.00. Starting with a more expensive option but one I reach for a lot. As the name would suggest this is a bold, cherry red shade. It has a lovely pink undertone to it which makes it look even nice on the lips. This is definitely one of my favourite bolder lip options however it can be applied with a light hand for a more toned down look.
Revlon Colorstay Lacquer Balm in Vivacious - £7.99. I'm a huge fan of lip products that come in a crayon form as they're easy to apply and often feeling more moisturising than a lipstick. The shade is a lovely glossy pink. I've been trying to wear more pink colours rather than my usual plums and this is definitely one of my favourites.
Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Lip lacquer in Charm Offensive
THE NUDES & BALMS:
MAC Craving Lipstick - £15.50. I feel like i'm talking about this shade a lot lately but I just can't stop wearing it. As someone who doesn't normally wear nudes this is my version as it's the perfect mix between a nude and a bold lip. It's a lovely pink, plumy shade that feels so smooth on the lips.
Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Lip lacquer in Charm Offensive - £7.00. This shade is similar to Craving but in more of a glossy formula. I hated the original Sexy Mother Pucker Glosses but this version is a lot nicer and not super sticky. It's very pigmented so you don't need a lot of product and it's a great, everyday shade.
Burt's Bees Replenishing Lip Balm with Pomegranate Oil - £3.69. I always have to have a lip balm in my bag and this one I love as it's moisturising whilst being light enough to layer underneath lipsticks. This smells lovely too and doesn't leave any colour to the lips or leave a shiny finish.
L-R Mightest Maraschino, Vivacious, Craving, Charm Offensive

So those are my current go to lip product staples. I'm sure things will change up once Spring finally comes around and the weather gets warmer. What are some of your lip product handbag staples?

  1. I have so many lip products in my bag. My favourites are the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Honey and the Lip Butter in Berry Smoothie as they are very easy shades to wear so I like to have them in my bag if I want to add a touch of colour but don't want anything too bright. x
