La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo [+] - Reviewed!

I used up my first tube of this and loved it but didn't get round to doing a full review so now that i've got a brand new one I thought it was the perfect time to do so. I had previously tried the original Effaclar Duo (review) and enjoyed it but wasn't blown away, however this version is a different story.

The packaging is practically identical to the original version in that the product comes in a white tube with a small nozzle. I like this because it's very easy to get out a small amount of product if you just want to use it as a spot treatment rather than an all over moisturiser.

The main difference comes in the texture. The original was more of a gel where as the Duo [+] is closer to a cream; still with a light consistency, however it feels a lot more moisturising on the skin. For that reason, I prefer it a lot more. This feels great as a daily moisturiser that helps with blemishes without drying the skin out.

The Duo [+] also claims to help a lot more with red marks and scarring which is a problem I definitely have. I'm happy to report that I find this not only helps to sooth and get rid of blemish it also seems to help with the redness which can be left behind. I often use this on my chin and t-zone as it helps with oil control in those areas, plus that's where I get the most breakouts. If you have acne prone skin but don't want a product that will feel your skin feeling dry I would definitely recommend this. Whether you use it as an all over moisturiser or as a targeted spot treatment it really is a great product that helps to keep blemishes under control.

La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo [+] retails for £15.50.
