The Everyday Cream Shadows

I'm a big lover of cream shadows. Whether i'm wearing them alone for a quick eye look or as a base to a smokey eye. My favourite kind are the ones that can be used as a primer to make you eye shadow last longer and look more vibrant. Today I thought I would share the four that are my most used.

For a long time MAC have been one of my go-to brands for cream shadows. Their paint pots have been a favourite of mine for a long time and I have four in my collection. My favourites have to be Painterly which is the perfect matte, neutral base which can be worn alone to even out the lids or a base for any shadow look. My other favourite is Groundwork which is a brown shade that has a lovely sheen to it. It's not shimmery but works great alone or for the base of a smokey eye. I love layering a gold eyeshadow over this for a lovely eye look.

For a long time there was a big gap in the market when it came to affordable long wearing cream shadows. Then Maybelline brought out the colour tattoo shadows and they've been a staple in my makeup collection. My favourite shade is On and On Bronze which is the perfect, golden bronze cream shadow. It's long wearing and looks so lovely alone. They recently added to the collection with the Leather Effect shadows and the shade Creamy Beige which is a matte beige colour. It's a light brown which looks great on the lids. This is a great option when you want something for a base that isn't shimmery.

So those are my everyday cream shadows. They're one of my favourite products to try out from a brand but not many meet what i'm looking for. A tip to make sure they don't dry out is to store them upside down. I do this with all my cream shadows and they're still as creamy as when I first bought them. What are your most used cream shadows?
