Bourjois Happy Light Matte Serum Primer - Reviewed!

Primers are something I use everyday in the hope of keeping my makeup in place and stopping my t-zone looking like an oil slick. I've come to realise i'm a bit fussy when it comes to primers because I don't like slicone feeling primers, and most ones designed for oil control tend to be that way. So when Bourjois released a new primer that claimed to be a matte serum formula I had to try it.
The packaging is sleek and comes with a pump making dispensing the right amount of product easy. Which is good because you only need a pea sized amount to cover your whole face; with primers i've found it is best not to apply too much and to let it dry before applying your base product to make it most effective. The product itself is a serum as the name would suggest; it doesn't leave the skin looking overly matte, instead it takes the shine out of the skin.
When using this I find that my base products last longer, i've tried this under both foundations and BB Creams and I saw better wear time with both. It isn't going to stop you getting slightly oily on a warm day but on a everyday basis it definitely helps with shine control.

My favourite thing about this is definitely the texture, it is the best feeling matte primer I have tried, for now it is definitely my new favourite primer. This marks yet another one of Bourjois new releases that i've fallen in love with; they've also brought out a Luminous version which i'm definitely tempted to try.

Have you tried this primer? What is your favourite primer for oil control?
