Confession Of A Mascara Hoarder

As much as I try to not have that many mascaras on the go, I always seem to have a good few laying around half used. Today I thought I would share with you the current mascara's I have in my stash and tell you which ones I like and which ones just aren't that great.
Benefit They're Real! - £19.50. (sample size shown)
I got this sample free with Elle magazine a few months ago and I was very excited to try it since it is very much raved about. I have to admit I do think this mascara is pretty great, I love the brush, it is spikey with a ball at the end which is perfect for getting those smaller lashes. It makes my lashes look thick and defined. The only downside is that is a bit of a bitch to remove, if you can get past that (and the hefty price tag) this is a great mascara. I am pretty tempted to get the full size.
Rituals Volume Mascara - £13.00. (sample size shown)
Another magazine freebie, I honestly didn't know Rituals even did makeup. This mascara is actually surprisingly good, it has a pretty standard brush but the formula isn't too wet and is great and adding volume and definitions.
Maybelline Mega Plush Volume - £7.99.
I'm a big fan of the Maybelline The Falsies mascara and instead of repurchasing that (I probably should have) I thought I would try this instead. Now I love the formula of this one and I like the effect it gives to my lashes, but as you can see in the picture above the brush is massive making hard to apply. Everytime I use this I end up getting mascara all over my eyelid. I like this mascara but I wish the brush was just a bit smaller, I actually like the shape of it just not the fact that the brush is the same size as my eye! I wouldn't repurchase this one.
Seventeen Doll'd Up - £6.29.
I don't think Seventeen get enough praise for the mascara, they're seriously good for the price. This one is great for lengthen each and every lash, it holds a curl fairly well too. It doesn't add a great deal of volume but is great for a more natural look and isn't too wet. I would purchase this one again.
MUA Every Lash - £3.00.
First off I accidentally picked up the waterproof version of this, the packaging is identical to the normal version. The brush of this one is okay, the formula is a little on the wet side. I just didn't find this mascara did anything for me. My lashes are pretty short and almost face downwards, this didn't help hold a curl or add much volume. It is definitely waterproof though as it is a pain to remove! I wouldn't repurchase this.
Rimmel Lash Accelerator Endless - £7.99.
First off I like the brush on this one, it small which means you can get every lash. It is also very black which I like. The only downside is the formula is so wet! I can't use this without 'drying it off' on a tissue first otherwise it just sticks all my lashes together. Once i've done that it does lengthen, add some volume and hold a curl pretty well. I woulldn't repurchase this one though, I've never been a huge fan of Rimmel mascaras and this one hasn't changed my mind on them.
L'oreal False Lash Telescopic - £10.99.
This mascara has probably the smallest brush out of the lot, this again makes it good for getting every lash. The formula is a little wet for my liking but I can work with it. Once applied it adds lots of length to the lashes, not a lot of volume but it does seem to hold a curl. I do like this mascara but I've heard it is being discontinued and I do prefer the Volume Million Lashes by L'oreal so I wouldn't repurchase.

So that's all the mascaras i'm currently hoarding away. I'm definitely not buying another mascara until i've used up most of these. As you can see I have an unopened Almay Get Up and Grow Mascara which I picked up in America and still haven't got round to testing it out since I have so many mascaras on the go already! I am looking forward to cracking it open soon, hopefully.

What mascaras are you currently using? How many mascaras do you have in your stash?
