Bourjois Colour Boost Lip Crayon - Reviewed!

I think some people are starting to get tired of all these lip crayons being released, but personally I love the concept so I definitely get excited when a brand releases their own version. Of course when the Bourjois version came out I had to give them a try.

The packaging isn't anything different from the other versions of lip crayons available. Although I will say I have found the the writing has started to rub off a little, this maybe down to them being in my handbag but I thought it would be good to mention.

The crayons twist up which means no sharpening needed so no wasted product. Bourjous claim that these will last 10 hours and add colour and moisture to the lips. The 10 hour I wouldn't fully agree with, they do last a long time, more like 5-6 hours for me. The darker shade I have definitely lasts the longest leaving a stain to the lips without being drying.

The shade Red Sunrise is a lovely red shade which looks lovely on the lips. The other shade I have is Orange Punch which is a peachy coral shade. Both apply nicely and don't cling to dry patches, they feel moisturising on the lips and as I said above dry to a stain after a few hours.

All in all these are yet another lip crayon that i've fallen in love with. They don't last as long as the Revlon ones but for me I find them a little bit more moisturising and glossy on the lips. At the moment there are only four shade to chose from, each shade is lovely and I hope to see Bourjois add a few more colours in the future.

Bourjois Colour Boost Lip Crayon retails for £7.99.

Have you tried this or will you be trying them?

  2. Great review. They definitely sound more similar to the MUA version than Revlon - the MUA ones are quite glossy and not so drying. Tempted to give this one a try for comparison! xx
