Real Techniques Duo Fiber Collection - Reviewed!

It is safe to say I am a firm lover of Real Techniques brushes. They're the brushes I use on a daily bases and i've even got my Gran using one of them! So of course when it was announced there was going to be a new set of brushes which would be limited edition for only a year I knew I had to get my hands on them.

The set is packaging the same way as the other Real Techniques brushes however unlike the other sets this one does not come with a travel case/stand for the brushes.

In the set you get three different duo fiber brushes which have 'ultra plush taklon bristles' and claim to give a look 'pixel perfect even in harsh light'.

The handles for the brushes are white which I personally really like with coloured lettering related to where on the face they should be used matching the other brushes available.

 The brushes included are -
  • Duo Fiber Face Brush - for lightweight application and blending of face powder or pigments. I've found this works best with setting powder or powder foundations.
  • Duo Fiber Contour Brush - for contouring and sculpting. I've found that this works especially well with cream contours like the Bourjous Bronzing Primer, it gives a very natural finish to the skin.
  • Duo Fiber Eye Brush - add finishing touches to the eyes. I've found this works best with blending out shadows and cream eye products.
All in all I really do like these brushes, i've especially been loving the contour brush with cream bronzer as it gives such a good finish and makes applying the product very easy. The brushes wash amazingly like all other Real Techniques brushes and i've had no shedding at all.

I wouldn't say that this set is a must have to get but if you're are a fan of Real Techniques brushes already I would definitely recommend picking these up especially since they are limited edition.

Have you tried these brushes or will you be picking them up?

I only have a few Real Techniques brushes at the moment, but I think I'm going to treat myself to the Core Collection soon!
