Chanel VitaLumiere Aqua Foundation - Reviewed!

I bought this foundation on the way back from California last September when I had a few dollars left over and I knew I wanted to try it after hearing so many people rave about it so I thought it would be the perfect time to try it.
This is my first Chanel product and I love how simple the packaging, it looks so classy and I love the white text on the bottle.
The bottle is very small however you still get the normal 30ml of product which makes it perfect for fitting in your make-up bag. The bottle doesn't have a pump instead it has a little dropper which makes it easy to get the right amount of product out.
The first thing I would say is because the foundation is water based you need to give it a good shake before using it. After that it applies very nicely. It is a very light formula so it's easy to build depending on the coverage you want. I would say it is a light to medium coverage and cancels out any redness I have, evens skintone and covers most blemishes. It looks very natural on the skin and feels lovely too. It does have a strong scent to it which is a little off putting but I have since gotten used to it. The foundation lasts well on my skin and wears evenly throughout the day, it never goes patchy or cakey on my combination skin. I have the shade B10 (10 beige) and I've found that this is a perfect match for me.

All in all I love this foundation, the only downside is the scent but I can soon get past that. I would definitely recommend trying it if you're looking for a light weight high end foundation.

Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua retails for £32.00.

Have you tried this foundation?

  1. I really want to try a Chanel Foundation. I've had a sample of the Pro Lumeiere and loved it.
